Hot Plate Welding
Hot plate welding is the classic plastics joining method. It stands for particle-free, tight seams which can be subjected to large mechanical loads. Excellent results can be achieved with very thin walls and complex shapes.
Technology
This process plasticize the weld zone by external heat application. This process is a multiple stage process, because the heating and the joining phases follow each other. Hot plates heat the join zones of both weld part halves up to the melting temperature. It then returns to its home position so that the joint zones can be pressed and held together until they have hardened.
Products
Branson`s Hot Plate Welding Systems are compact in design and offer many advantages to the user. High quality joining of plastic parts is quickly achieved over a wide range of applications, with any variation in moulding tolerances being equalized during the weld process.
Tooling and Samples
Each tooling package includes all application specified sensor and control elements. The heating element contains two of thermocouples for temperature control and safety switch
